Glen Spean Brewing Co is based in an historic steading in the village of Spean Bridge at the heart of the West Highlands, where neighbours Ian Peter, James and Lucy have faithfully converted a mid-19th century steading from where we make our beautifully crafted beers.  The soft, Lochaber waters brings a distinct character and together with our carefully crafted recipes led us to win the ‘Best Beer’ at the Highlands and Islands Food & Drink awards in 2019.

James and Ian Peter are also passionate about wine. They have hand selected a list of fantastic wines from smaller producers all over the world to suit all tastes and price-points.

With views over the Grey Corries, Aonoch Mor and Ben Nevis, this lovely old building has allowed us to create a beautiful space from which to sell our beer, local whiskies and gins and a selection of exclusive and interesting wines.

  1. Dear Ian Peter

Greetings. I hope this message finds you well. My name is Daniel (University of Dundee School of Business) and we met -remember back in those pre-Covid days?!- at the Food Tourism Innovation Workshop on Storytelling and Sense of Place in Inverness on 25 February earlier this year

I am currently researching for a book chapter which explores the impact of Covid-19 on craft beer. It is part of a book project I am co-editing on “Researching Craft Beer” with three other colleagues, two from The Edinburgh Napier University Business School and one from Business School at York St John University. The book is due out in April 2021

I am contacting you to ask if you would be willing to talk with me, so I can interview you for inclusion in the book? It would be great to speak on Zoom or whatever platform you prefer however if you are keen to participate in the study but prefer, I could email you the questions and we could ‘discuss’ via email? If we can talk, could you please suggest a time that is convenient for you?

Thanks for reading this message and I look forward to the prospect of speaking with you in the not too distant future

I look forward to hearing from you

  2. Hello,

I’d like to order 6 bottles of Snow Goose for a Christmas present but I notice that delivery is only local. I’m in Yorkshire. I’m just checking if you do deliver outside of area?
My husband tried Snow Goose while visiting Scotland in October and he raved about it.

    Many thanks

    1. Hi Katy – where are you ? If you are here in Lochaber, we can deliver for free. If you are outside the area, you can order through http://www.shop4whisky.com. I hope that helps and if you have any questions do give me a holler on 07791 553144 or email me on [email protected] – Ian Peter
